Vintage Adventure: Film Noir Jan 2014

Dressing up, taking pictures, and watching old black and white films with pretty ladies and my main man Jonathan who provides us with our wonderful outfits; all makes for a wonderful night. Since it's been a little while since my last vintage adventure, a night out on the town was just what I was looking for and as soon as we walked through the door the fun time began.

Now I have to admit, I have never really watched a black and white movie before (well maybe one... or two). And I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it, I love the idea of watching old movies because I love vintage so much but I have a hard time following them. I think what makes it the most difficult for me to fallow is the fact that I can't really hear everything that they say. Needless to say, because of that I missed a lot of punchlines. But I did enjoy it regardless.

I also might give it another shot sometime in the near future if I can get some subtitles or something to follow along to. I now crave a late night classic movie marathon with tons of popcorn and perhaps some other sugary sweets. I wish there were more classic movies that feature African American leading roles, because that would be a movie night I would probably enjoy.

Until next time,

  1. This is such a great idea!
It's funny, I too tend to have a hard time hearing the old B&W films. I usually have to watch them a second time.
